The Reliability Laboratory has focused on researches aiming the enhancement of safety, efficiency and effectiveness of electrical mechanical systems used in engineering design.

The Reliability Laboratory offers the expertise on the following capabilities:

· Systems engineering that encompasses functional modeling and technology assessment;

· Reliability, risk, statistical and decision studies that include risk analysis and management, scenario development and risk-based decision making;

· Maintenance studies including Reliability Centered Maintenance planning and implementation, maintenance policy costs analysis and availability optimization.

The laboratory has developed research projects supported by governmental funding and regulatory agencies and by private industries.

Every research project has graduate and undergraduate students taking part in the technical staff aiming the development of doctoral dissertations and master of engineering thesis.
