Research Group:

  • Prof. Jun Okamoto Jr. is coordinator of the Laboratory of Advanced Perception (LPA) of the Department of Mechatronics and Mechanical Systems Engineering of the Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo.

  • The main interest of the Laboratory is to explore the use of sensors as source of information for decision making in autonomous robotic tasks. Recently, omnidirectional vision systems have been studied as source of information for several robotic tasks. Other interests of the Laboratory are: visual servo using omnidirectional vision, stereo vision, real time control systems, development of embeded control systems, teleoperation fo mobile robots, among others.
